Inspired by Minecraft (which I find interesting, but have no real desire to "play") and 3D Dot Game Heroes (which I ordered today), I spent the day messing around with this.
I'm not yet sure if I will do anything with it, but I think it looks cool.

How did you go about creating this voxelized version?
ReplyDeleteWait...it's coming to me...I got it!!!........... Lego Pokemon!!! lol sad thing is, I'm a huge Pokemon fan... Think about it, the bike route is the route you take to get to all the towns to battle! lol I need to get a life. Later!
ReplyDeleteI'm using the same height map that I was using for the "hi fi" version, but instead of generating a terrain grid, I render a bunch of cubes.
ReplyDeleteMike - I've actually thinking about doing some sort of RPG. We'll see...
